The Backwoods Bulldog Club
is the most comprehensive canine registry available. We have
easy to fill out registration forms for your convenience. We
also provide a photo of your pet on the registration certificate.
The Club has been holding shows since 1995 and started registering
dogs in 2002 with the information from those pedigrees. Our
paperwork is the most accurate available!
Our goal is to protect the
breeders lineage! We check signatures and photos to ensure your
information is not abused by your customers or others.
Why use the Backwoods
Bulldog Club (BBC) as your registry?
Let’s say you have a litter of ten pups and two
of them are pets not to be bred, but too young to spay or neuter. You
want them gone before they are too old to get rid of, but don’t trust
the buyers to abide by their contract. We have a section for the
breeder to check which states this dog is a pet and not to be bred.
This decision can only be reversed by the breeder’s discretion. A
signed letter by the breeder must be provided and a new certificate
will be issued.
We will
hold events all over the world, conformation shows, agility trials,
protection tournaments, weight pulling, canine good citizenship
testing, and more! The Nationals are held in Paducah Kentucky
Memorial Day Weekend (Last weekend in May). All Bull Breeds and
Guardian Group Dogs are eligible to compete.
This
club was formed in the garage of Chris & Meg Kelley January 15th, 1995
at Kevil Kentucky and in attendance was Olen and Leah Story, Russell
Sheppard, Jamie and Chris Castillo and the Kelley’s. That year we had
our first show on Memorial Day Weekend. The Backwoods Bulldog Club
(BBC) held National Kennel Club (N.K.C.) Shows until the year 2002.
After a dispute with the N.K.C.’s new owner, we decided to go out on
or own. Fees and Memberships became to expensive to operate small
shows, so we hold our own shows! Any Club wanting to hold a BBC Show
can do so with no show fees going to us. Free Show packages and
support. We will support any new club with registrations, entries,
and show reports, to help you succeed.
Thanks to
Kevlar, Strike Force, Pride Rock, Awesome Dog, and all the Ohio people
who helped the BBC to succeed in the Northern United States.
We have an
open book policy. This means that we will let all club members look
at the treasury ledger and finances at their request. No hidden
payoffs or salaries!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Club
Membership is open to all, and registration is available at all shows.
Officers will follow the Constitution and By Laws at all meetings and
your votes will count for every matter, from future shows to breed
standard changes. We operate as a non profit organization, but
do not file as a non profit group. All assets are used to manage
future shows and no salaries are paid to anyone, especially Chris
Kelley. I make my money by my everyday job. (Master
Electrician)
Sincerely,
Chris Kelley
